Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to Granite City CrossFit is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout warm ups and exercises before participating in regular classes. Check out our three step process below.

1. Contact us about One on One training sessions!

You can reach us at or (320)241-9587. These one-on-one sessions are designed to help you understand what we do, and why we do it, answer any questions that you may have, and provide your first exposure to a CrossFit workout. You will gain instruction in some of the basic movements, and experience examples of how we scale workouts for each individual.

2. Set up 4 One-on-One Training Sessions

Following you email or phone we will schedule 4 one-on-one sessions, each person is required to take 4 one-on-one sessions with one of our coaches. These are for all people new to CrossFit, regardless of one’s previous athletic background. These 4 one-on-one sessions will provide you with the techniques and skills necessary for maintaining safety and maximizing your results when you enter the group classes. The one on ones will be scheduled with one of our trainers at a time that works best for both parties.

Want to bring a friend or 5 we can accommodate to meet at different times, we will work with you, we will sit down with our coaches and you and schedule a plan and time schedule that works for you!  You will learn to safely and efficiently perform our program's foundational movements.  Your coach will tailor the sessions specifically to your fitness capacity, goals and preferences.  We feel this is the most effective way to achieve your individual fitness goals.  The fee for the 4 one-on-one sessions is $135, which must be completed within a 2 week time period.

3. Attend one of our Group CrossFit Classes!

The next step following your 4 one-on-one work, is to attend one of our many available Group CrossFit classes.  Workouts are scaled down from the start as we encourage people to focus more on mechanics, form and consistency in their workouts, rather than worrying about intensity or weight.
